Kalaheo Music and Strings (formerly Ukulele Mele & Friends), started operation in December 01, 2012,at the Hanamaulu Trading Post an unfortunate fire forced our business to relocate. We found a new location in the quite town of Waimea in February 01, 2013 through July 31, 2013. Another great location became available that would be much more convenient and beneficial, we decided to relocate for a third and final time to 2-2494 Kaumuali'i Hwy., in Kalaheo, Kauai.
This was the ideal location on Kauai positioned in the middle of Central & West side of the island. We started offering New & Pre-owned Ukuleles & guitars, Ukulele Lessons and a few Made On Kauai products. We are constantly changing our product selection to meet customer requests and expectation. We really enjoy working our business and meeting people from Kauai and the other island, as well as, people from all over the world. The International Language is "MUSIC".
In March of 2015, we thought of designing our own ukuleles and in September 2015, we introduced our "Kauai" series of custom ukuleles. We added a huge series of ukuleles and the rest is, as they say, History. We welcome you to be a part of our future.
Come and visit with us. See what we're offering. We may not have a lot of products, mostly music related items, a few things to help you be healthier, we're definitely not a tourist shop. We do on-site Ukulele, Baritone Ukulele and Guitar Lessons. We also offer, Song & Instructional Books, Accessories, T-shirts, and lots of Aloha!
